Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open for Returning Families.
New Families may begin enrollment on February 1, 2024
Pre-Enrollment for (New Families Only) Grades 1-12
- Schedule an Entrance Examination (Star Reading & Star Math). Students must test within one grade level of their current grade to be considered eligible for admission to OCS. (We can accept the most recent standardized test, if it was taken no earlier than May 2023.)
- After determining eligibility, the School Director will arrange an interview with both the student and their guardian.
- For Elementary Students (Grades 1-6), please email Ms. Salima Zahir, the Lower School Director, at szahir@sm575.com.
- For Junior High and High Students (Grades 7-12), please email Ms. Summiya Illyas, the Upper School Director, at summiya.ilyas@sm575.com.
- Students will be required to submit previous school records, including academic, behavioral, and attendance records, for review.
- If your child is accepted, the school will send you an email to begin the enrollment process.
Steps for Enrollment:
1. Register (New Families) / Login (Returning Families) to the Sycamore Enrollment Portal.
- For enrollment assistance, please email info@sm575.com, and office staff can guide you through the process.
- For preschool enrollment, please contact the preschool director, Fazreen Shariff at fshariff@sm575.com or call 714-531-1991.
2. Make an appointment to sign the financial agreement using this link, and pay the registration fee of $350 per child.
Enrollment is not considered complete until the registration fee is paid.

Additional Items:
- OCS is an educational facility established to teach children with various learning styles and abilities. However, OCS is not equipped with the resources and/or additional staff to teach children who have any special learning, speech, physical or behavioral problems.
- New students are required to take an entrance examination administered by OCS and should score 80% or more in order to be eligible for admission. Kindergarten and 1st Grade students must show sufficient readiness to enter their respective grades on their entrance exam. The Preschool Director will screen preschool children.
- All new students will be on probation for the first academic month. Those showing special learning, speech, behavior or study habit problems may not be able to continue at OCS.
- All entering Kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, and show both emotional and social adeptness for grade level.
- At the time of registration, parents must bring in proof of age by bringing in copies of birth certificates, passports, or other legal documentation.
- OCS Administration in conjunction with Preschool will make final decisions in regards to specific class placements for all entering students.
- It is not our school policy to entertain grade-skipping requests. Research on this issue suggests that students who are grade skipped miss out on important social and emotional learning, thus struggling later in life.
